FasTrak® Reviews

FasTrak is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 52.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Mower I have had this mower for about 1 year. So far it has preformed very well. One thing about it, it is tuff!!!!! I have not abused it, but I have not been gentle with it either. So far I have not experienced any problems. I looked at alot of different mowers before buying this one. For the money, its a good deal. I bought mine at a Hustler dealer, and I explained how much I had to mow and what I was looking to spend. This was the one suggested for me. It is easy to operate and mows great.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from warranty repair issue My first zero turn and I fell in love. But a year and a half later two pulleys have gone out and my husband and I were grateful it is still under warranty. But now it has been sitting at repair shop "waiting on parts". So not sure how great it is that pulleys didn't last any longer and that there is an issue getting parts to make the "warrantied repair". Right now we are not too happy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast Trak 60 I bought this after I my 3 year old Raptor SD 54 needed some new spindles & blades( my fault due to cutting newly graded lot). i have 4 Acres to cut and this Fast Trak 60 is 3X the other was. Should have bought this first off. My dealer took the Raptor on trade. Thanks SNR in Satsuma, La.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not exactly what I expected This is my first zero turn . I wanted the 54 with the 27hp efi but they were sold out so I settled for the 60 wish i'd just waited doesn't have the power i thought it would maybe it'd been better with three 54. Bad about missing sprigs of grass and having to slow down a lot slower on thicker grass swapped blades just in case no change only has bout 14 hrs on it

if the blades don't work is that mean a belt broke?

Asked by: ozzie
Ozzie - that is the first answer that comes to mind, however, there could be other issues that have to do with the clutch. Your best bet is to get your mower to your nearest Hustler Dealer to a quick checkover. Please go to our website, and use the retailer locator. Good luck!

How fast are you able to mow with this mower?

Asked by: Justin
On a perfectly flat lawn, this mower will move up to 8mps. However, you should only mow as fast as a good cut will let you. That is, if you are leaving stragglers or strips of grass, slow down.

Just got a FasTrak 60"Z turn and cannot find where and how many grease fittings there are. Book only says "use SAE multi purpose grease" How many are there?

Asked by: billy bob
Billy, in your manual, look at section 4-10. You can grease your deck height pivots and front wheel bearings. There is also a diagram with locations for the grease zerks. Hope this helps.

I have a Hustler Sport. It loses steering power on the right side. It works fine until about halfway through cutting the yard?

Asked by: badger81
It is hard to say what is going on without looking at your mower, but some things to look at are the level of fluid in your transmission. You might look at the Hydrogear website for more detailed answers to your questions. The Hydrogear website does point out that any degradation of the oil can cause changes to the operation of the transmission. We recommend you take your mower to your local Hustler dealer for proper diagnosis.

Can the roll over bar be put on the Raptor SD 60 inch?

Asked by: AK Law Man
We do not recommend a ROPs bar on any of the residential mowers. They do not come with a seat belt and we want you clear of the mower should it roll.

I am starting my 3rd year with my hustler raptor 42. Does anyone know the answer as to why I leave a strip of uncut grass on the side opposite the discharge? I keep my blades sharp and my deck clean and it just refuses to mow that strip on the left side.

Asked by: Tom5.0
Tom, I cannot say for certain without seeing your grass or your mower, but here are some general tips to try: Different grasses sometimes take different blades. Try leveling the deck, all the way around and go with either a mulching or a high lift blade. The mower you have comes with a med lift blade. Another thing to try is to check to see if the front wheel is causing the grass to flatten out before it gets to the deck. In this case, lower the rear of the deck approx. 3/8” to create more vacuum under this deck. And as always, go slower and be sure that the engine is at full throttle. Get with your dealer if these tips to do not work!

It sure can Kate. You many have to mow at a higher setting the first few times, but after that, you should be fine.
