Since winning three Hustler® mowers and a trailer at Equip Expo in 2023, Sam Caldera’s business has shifted into high gear. “My business has significantly expanded since winning the Hustler mower giveaway,” he says, explaining that the money he saved on repairs and upgrades went straight into marketing and building a stronger crew—helping him land bigger, more profitable accounts. Sam credits his local dealers for keeping things running smooth, “Anytime I’m in a pinch, I know I can take these mowers here and the guys have them out within a day or two or patch them up the same day if possible. Downtime isn’t an option in this business and these dealers really go above and beyond.”
For those new to Hustler, he says he’d like people to know about the “ease and simplicity of these mowers”. Caldera pointed out that “Hustler makes a heavy-duty, user-friendly mower” with features like the integrated parking brake. “I love the all-in-one brake system built into the handles. Looking ahead, Sam has his sights set on serious growth sharing, “over the next 3 years I hope to expand by adding on more key team members, running 2 to 3 trucks a day and managing a range of property maintenance.” With a fleet of Hustler mowers, a skilled crew by his side, and a clear plan for growth, there’s no stopping Sam as he moves full speed ahead.
